Design, Engineering, Service and Maintenance is the typical life cycle of any hard working Triplex Pump, which SHTP understands makes a pump run successfully for many years. Given below are few of the advantages and features of SHTP Triplex Plunger Pumps.
POWER END:
Power Frame: A rugged CI crankcase design with heavy cross-section to take the necessary loads and with adequate openings for easy maintenance.
Crankshaft: Machined from Nickel Chrome Moly forged bar, ground and hardened to fine tolerances.
Main Bearings: Heavy duty taper roller bearing.
Connecting Rod: Forged connecting rods, big end with shell bearing inserts and small end with bush bearing used in all Triplex Plunger pumps
Crosshead: Machined from Alloy Steel and ground and hardened to fine tolerances.
FLUID END:
No special tools are required for dismantling the liquid end or valves.
Valves are assembled from one side only i.e. from the top of the head for our standard design. Valve seats are not pressed fit but can be easily inserted & removed. Valve & valve seat can be reconditioned easily at site as per APS factory recommendations for various pumps.
Valves are sealed by Teflon square rings, which can be reused several times and when necessary can be easily replaced. Inspection of the valves can be done during routine maintenance using simple tools even by semi skilled fitters. Piping is not dismantled during a valve inspection.
Stuffing box with plungers can be removed as a set and can be replaced with a spare set. The removed stuffing box can be repaired / reconditioned and kept as a spare – hence reduction in downtime and routine maintenance.
Valve and Stuffing box design is kept simple to facilitate quick and easy assembly and disassembly – reduced downtime.
Replacement pre-formed Gland Packing supplied as spares for a perfect fit and seal preventing any error or failure of replaced packing to give you “A Factory Fit” service.
Wetted parts can be supplied in various materials of construction to suit the liquid and application.
Meets the performance requirements of API 674 and Hydraulic Institute. |
